Terms & Conditions

Using Clare County Recent Arrests means accepting these terms and the limits stated below. Anyone who does not agree should stop using the site.

Clare County Recent Arrests is privately owned and has no affiliation with a government body, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections department. It helps visitors locate Clare County and Michigan jail and arrest-record resources. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency. Neither this site nor its advertising partners offers services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose.

Nature of the Service

This private reference has no ties to a public office. It stores no official records and cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or file a request or court document for a visitor.

Its pages point toward Clare County jail, court, police, sheriff, and state corrections sources. Some tools are independently operated by third-party research providers.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use of the site is conditioned on lawful, respectful conduct. A visitor agrees not to:

  • Break any law through use of the service;
  • Stalk, threaten, harass, or harm another person;
  • Use content for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated decision;
  • Attempt access to systems or data without authorization;
  • Operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools; or
  • Interrupt or degrade access for other visitors.

FCRA Uses Are Prohibited

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and supplies no background check, credit report, or consumer report. Its advertising partners also do not provide screening services through this site. A visitor agrees not to use information here for:

  • Hiring, firing, or other employment decisions;
  • Tenant selection or housing decisions;
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing;
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility; or
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Independent Websites and Tools

Links may lead to sheriff and corrections pages, public portals, legal-aid resources, records systems, or outside search services. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control an outside service’s content, uptime, terms, prices, or data handling, so review its policies before use.

No Warranties

The service and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made regarding:

  • Accuracy, completeness, or currency;
  • Continuous or uninterrupted operation;
  • Freedom from errors, defects, or security flaws; or
  • The scope or completeness of a partner’s search results.

Custody and public records can change at any time. Nothing here is an official statement from the Clare County Sheriff’s Office or another government agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site, its owners, and its partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from access to or use of the service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

A user agrees to defend and hold the site, its owners, and its partners harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising from that user’s conduct, misuse of content, or violation of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Clare County Recent Arrests or the relevant content partner. They may not be copied, distributed, republished, or modified without written permission except where law allows.

Revisions to These Terms

These terms may be changed at any time. A revision takes effect when the updated text is posted, and continued use means acceptance of it.

Suspension of Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice, including when conduct threatens the site or other visitors.

Michigan Law Governs

Michigan law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Michigan.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay effective. The affected language will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
